Labby Plays Winx Club: Quest for the Codex Part Six

In continuing our story, we end up having to play the same old mini-games yet again.  And I also spot a minor inconsistency between the show and the game!  Shock and horror!

Con Badges!

In my previous post concerning cross stitch commissions, I posted a pattern for a then unfinished con badge.  Here it is:

It's DMC floss used on plastic canvas.  The badge has to be cut with a little of the plastic canvas still on the edges, as that keeps the thread in place, but the canvas is cut to the shape of the stitching.  I placed the jump rings in a way that helps the badge lay properly when worn.

This is me testing out the badge for TwelfthDoc.

I also made myself a badge.

It features the sprite of Nayru- the oracle from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (for the GBC).  Due to the sprite's smaller size, I limited the name portion of the badge to just the first part of my internet handle for a nice, well proportioned look.

These are a lovely, nerdy way of identifying yourself at a con.  I chose to use internet names as a means of helping to be recognized out there when I do eventually get to a convention.

As a reminder, commissions for these are dirt cheap at $5 a pop.  Contact me at Kozmkitty@aol.com if you're interested.

Labby Plays Winx Club: Quest for the Codex Part Five

Quiz time!  Do you remember the BF/GF pairs?

Additionally, feel free to challenge my scores on the mini-games.

Labby Plays Winx Club: Quest for the Codex Part One

Due to total failure of Winx Club for the GBA to work, the game we are beginning today is Winx Club: Quest for the Codex on the DS.  So come on ya'll (yes, ya'll), let's go to fairy school AND save the worlds! (I'm pretty sure the worlds are all just different planets in the same dimension, but I don't remember how that all worked very well.)

Labby Plays My Little Pony: Runaway Rainbow Bonus Video

In this video we explore the mini game galleries, and play the mini game we missed: Pinkie Pie Pinball.

Challenge: Be sure to pay attention, because I've challenged you all to a score battle in Pinkie Pie Pinball!

Don't forget, we'll be starting up Winx Club for the GBA tomorrow!  Don't know what Winx Club even is?  Don't worry, I'll try to make it make sense.

Oh, Ebay, the Hours We Can Waste

What the hell is this thing?  And why does the lister list it as a "Pokemon Digimon" product? (In an interesting side note, Google Chrome's spell check recognized Pokemon as a proper word, but not Digimon.)
Apparently it's some kind of coin bank that used to function like a slot machine, but this particular item is broken.  I want to find a working one of these things just for the novelty of it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pokemon-Digimon-Toy-Slot-Machine-Coin-Bank-NOT-WORKING-/170625792525?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27ba16fa0d#ht_2876wt_905

Ok, is it just me or does this COIN case look like it's actually a Pokemon condom case?  Look it just does, okay!  Don't judge...

Holly hell! A Pokemon product that actually is HOLOGRAPHIC.  Like the real definition of holographic and everything.

Are these even really Pokemon products?  That's what the seller claims they are.  They look more likely to be part of some Hamtaro game.

So freaking adorable! Someone buy this for me now!
Out of place entry is out of place.

Oh you know you want them.  You have no idea what to do with them, but you want them.

They do a thing in a thing and I just don't understand it....
Seriously, someone go figure out what the heck these even are? What do they do?

Another handmade question mark.  Derpy looking Charmander is kind of cute, but the listing is so unsure of the spelling of Pokemon that it literally lists this as a "Pokemon pokeman" coin purse.

He...has a digivice embedded in his stomach?  This is an official product guys!
Actually, I once had something similar; it was a generic blue and white dog with a clock embedded in it's tummy and the alarm sound was it saying, "Ruff, ruff.  It sure is tough to sleep enough."  You know, that might be just another piece in the puzzle of what is wrong with me.

This one kind of looks like it's trapped in a net and trying to get out.  I mean, just look at it, it does not look happy to be in that bag.

Do you remember the time the Digimon franchise thought it was cool to have metal cards?  You couldn't use them in game play or anything, but they made nice collectors items....though they were made out of pretty crappy metal and the paint would scratch pretty easy.
Oh man, I forgot the punch line. *Gets shot*

Well, in my pin tradition....

...Yes.  This.  Because McDonald's would totally find a way to be in the digital world.  You know it to be true, no matter how much it frightens you.

Capsule Monster?  But that's a different series!

If this doesn't creep you out, there's no hope for you.

Labby Plays My Little Pony: Runaway Rainbow Part Three

Three words descibe this episode: More fetch quests!  Oh, and a couple of mini-games which involve getting the things we've been tasked with fetching.

Also, I would like to assure you that the next episode of Let's Read with LabbyDragon is in fact filmed and will be edited asap. I'm sorry that it wasn't out last month, I'm still learning to balance out everything I'm doing.

I'd also encourage you to send me book suggestions for future episodes.  I'm sure there's some books you all know about that I might not ever know if you don't send me their titles!

Labby Plays My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Party Part Three

The exciting third episode in which we play games and pass the half way point in our present finding.  Don't worry about the approaching end though, after we find all the presents, we have at least one bonus video of playing with them all at Party Cake Place, and we're not done with the My Little Pony franchise yet.

Twilight Sparkle Cross Stitch and Commissions (Updated 1/27/12)

I finally finished the Twilight Sparkle cross stitch!

So cute!!!!!!

Do you know what that means? I am now open for you to commission your very own geek themed cross stitch project!  Spread the link to this post if you enjoy my work, your friends might, too.

Commission information:

I can do anything so long as you provide me with a picture.  E-mail me at Kozmkitty@aol.com and I will respond to your request as quickly as I can.  All commission specifications and prices will be finalized before I ask for payment (by way of PayPal).

Conbadge/pin/keychain- $5

2x3= $10

4x6= $20

5x5= $20

5X7= $25

Additional sizes and shapes are negotiable, just contact me with your desired dimensions and/or shape and I will come up with a price for you (different shapes should fall in the same price category as the size they are most similar to).  Though I am disinclined to go over the 5X7 size as anything much larger will take a considerable amount of time while I am still in college and juggling homework with any commissions I get.

Your non-accessory pieces (meaning things that aren't con badges and key chains) can be either framed or matted, or shipped flat for you to decide what to do with it.

I will accept commissions based upon the number of projects I can complete efficiently (first come, first serve), and then put up notification that commissions are closed until the current batch is done and commissions open again.  I want everyone to get a quality product so I will not take on more than I can handle.

And here's a small gallery of my work:

A previously sold piece.

A Doctor Who wall hanging.

Another wall hanging made for a friend.

This is the con badge I made for Twelfthdoc (you can follow him on Twitter!).

This is the con badge I designed for myself featuring Nayru from The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages for the GBC.

A Derpy badge.

A keychain of Rainbow Dash's Cutie Mark.

And a couple more pony keychains.

Now for some Pokemon themed stuff.
